Expectation

By ordering and making payment for a product on this website you are forming a contract with WoodCreation. Our part of the contract is to fulfill the order as you have requested, in a timescale we have agreed, at the price we have agreed via the website pricing or separately in writing in the case of custom orders or commissions. Your part of the contract is to make prompt payment in full and take possession of the completed item with good intention.

Please be aware that due to the nature of working with reclaimed wood, no two products will ever be the same. Each piece of timber will have lived a different life, and will always have different markings, colourings, dents, notches, metalwork and cracks within it. None of this means that the timber or finished product is inferior in any way, and this is the nature of purchasing rustic items made with reclaimed materials. General colours will always be matched where possible, unless stated or requested otherwise.

We always strive to use only the most complimentary timber in each piece that we produce. If you have certain colour or finish requirements then it is essential that we discuss these prior to your order to ensure we can match your requests and to avoid any disappointment. This is my own business and therefore we value open and honest communication above all things, and we understand how hard it is to build a reputation, and how easy it is to lose that.

If you ever have any questions, or problems then please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss them first before leaving any negative feedback or comment anywhere. I will always do my best to help resolve any issues swiftly and fairly to both parties.

If you wish to make a purchase but do not have a Paypal account, then please contact me and we can discuss other payment options.

Returns:

Customers can return products within 7 days if you are unhappy with your purchase. Return postage will be at the customer's cost, and a refund will be provided for the purchase price of the item (excluding P&P) once the item reaches us and is checked to be in the same condition in which it was sent.

All customers should check their product as soon as they take delivery. Should a product be received damaged then please contact me immediately, or within 24hrs maximum. I can then notify the courier and we can discuss options going forward. Notification of damage outside of that 24hr window from time of delivery will not be eligible for refund.

Due to the nature of custom orders, whilst very welcome, they cannot attract a refund, unless damaged in transit when the same rules as above apply.

Cancellation:

If your item is handmade to order there will be a period before packaging and delivery takes place where you may cancel your order.

Any cancellation must take place prior to packaging and delivery to attract a full refund, minus any costs or transaction charges I have incurred to that point.

The same applies for stock items, although as I aim to send every order within 3-5 business days, your window of opportunity to cancel without cost will be much tighter.

Commissions and Communication

For all products that are handmade to order, I will contact you to discuss realistic timescales for production and delivery. Please contact me first before purchasing if you have a specific date in mind to ensure I can fulfill your requirements. Please understand that unforeseen delays may occur. I will always keep you up to date if this is the case.

Commissions are encouraged and very welcome! I pride myself on communicating clearly and effectively with customers to ensure we are both happy with the product I will produce for you. I can produce sketches from details you provide should you so wish to help visualise your ideas, or am happy to receive sketches you have completed to illustrate your needs.

Full or part-payment will be necessary once you commission me to make a product for you. The full amount and payment schedule will be agreed upon prior to any production beginning. Cleared payment in full will be required prior to delivery or collection taking place.

Please bear in mind, that I work alone in my workshop, hand-making each item, and so I may not respond immediately to any communications. I will always endeavour to respond within 24hrs at most.

Delivery

Deliveries will be made by courier, and will be trackable for me and you, and will usually require a signature on receipt from the recipient.

Large or heavy items will usually be delivered by a specialist furniture courier. You must be at home to accept the delivery on the date that is arranged and agreed upon. You will be liable for any further costs incurred as a result of a failed delivery, and for re-delivery. Should you decide to cancel/return your order in these circumstances then refund will made minus all costs incurred by WoodCreation in relation to your order up to that point.

Please remember that on accepting and taking ownership of a package you are stating to the courier under their terms & conditions that the item is being received as expected in an appropriate condition. Should an item be delivered to you in a condition otherwise than you would expect then you are within your rights to refuse to take delivery in that condition and request that your decision is documented by them. In this event I would urge you to take photos of the damaged package in the presence of the delivery person and then contact me immediately and attach the photographs so I can make the complaint to the courier company on your behalf.

Should you take possession of an item and only realize it is damaged on opening, then I will require photos of the outer packaging, inner packaging and the damaged item as these will be requested by the courier in any later claim.

International Delivery

For international customers requesting delivery outside of the United Kingdom, please contact me directly to discuss your wishes and I will obtain a quotation for delivery prior to you making an order.

Please note, weights of products marked are for the purposes of this website assessing delivery charges only and may not reflect the actual weight of the item as dimensions are also taken into account by the couriers. Should you wish to know the exact weight of a particular item then please contact me and I will be happy to help.

These terms and conditions are not exhaustive, but included here for your information and peace of mind. I value honesty and respect above all else, and will always treat you and your inquiries with that in mind, as i would expect my customers to do for me also.
